They told Our Lord immediately that Simon's mother in-law was sick, and Jesus cured her.
Simple as that. Difficulties need to be brought to Jesus in prayer. If we humbly approach him, he may or may not heal or change the illness, but he will help us in the very BEST way possible.
Because he is God, and he CAN.
