It's not easy to follow Christ. He is like a hidden treasure (Gospel). If you don't look for him, you will find nothing. And even after digging for ages; and having found him buried 7 feet under the ground, you must first go and sell what you have before you can buy him. Either your heart is filled with worldly stuff that will pass away, or you seek to obtain God in your heart for all eternity and part with everything else to make it happen.
You can't have both.
